Simple Pleasures

I typically like to list three things for these posts, but today, I'm only going to do one, and it's a video. A few of my friends shared this on Facebook days ago, but I couldn't bring myself to watch it initially because I'm a big, fat baby and I cry over anything remotely emotional these days (as opposed to my childhood when I refused to cry at all). Leave it to my mom to find it and watch it though, because as soon as I caught a few words coming from her computer speakers, I instinctively knew what it was. And then I had to watch it. Right then. Even if it meant that I was going to have puffy eyes for the rest of the day. Even if it meant that I was going to be all stuffed up. I went through more than a few tissues, but it was well worth it.

Seriously, if you have the time, watch the whole thing, I highly suggest it. Zach's story is emotional, but his attitude is amazing. He has so much love for everyone and they have so much love for him. With his faith and with his music he was able to make peace with what was to be inevitable for him far too soon. Death. He left his family with something to remember him by and he left an indelible mark in the world. It makes me want to find my true passion and make a life with it. Now if only I could narrow down my passions.

If you don't have time to watch the whole thing, at least take the time to watch this video and listen to his song.

I hope this moves you as much as it moved me.
