I'm not fully recovered from my vacation. I'm not sure if it's the allergies I'm experiencing or the return to a quicker pace of living, but I've been drained this week. I'm hoping I'll have some time to relax this weekend, but I have a feeling there will be little time for that. C'est la vie! I'm still thankful for the time I was able to take off from work (even though I didn't want to come back!) and also for the new friends I made while I was in Jamaica.

Even though they were working at the hotel, I still felt like I made some great friends while I was in Jamaica. I had a few heart-to-hearts with the girls and spent a lot of time hanging out with Omar (I swear the man never sleeps). Between the games, the dancing, and hanging out near the bar, I'd say that he was almost as much a part of my vacation as Ken was!
We shared some laughs over the actions of a rather inebriated guest who we fondly dubbed "Nashville" and didn't miss a moment to discuss all the things we could be saying to him if we weren't such nice people. It was a hoot and likely a had-to-be-there type thing, but entertaining for us nonetheless. I know all good things must come to an end, but I certainly wasn't quite ready to leave behind this little slice of paradise and the people who made it so memorable.
Towards the end of my vacation I also met two lovely gals from Colorado...
