J'adore Dior

It's true. I love Dior. I've already expressed my love for their fantastic Nude Skin-Glowing foundation here, and I've briefly mentioned their mascara, but now I'm really going to talk about it.

Dior 'Diorshow - Black Out' Mascara
(this photo is not of the waterproof version)

Diorshow Black Out Waterproof Mascara is the best mascara I've ever used and I love it for so many reasons, including, but not limited to the following...

1. It doesn't flake.

I used CoverGirl LashBlast Waterproof Mascara for ages and I thought it was IT. That is, until I realized that a side-by-side comparison of the two would leave much to be desired for CG. Unlike LashBlast, Diorshow doesn't flake! It's creamy formula simply doesn't allow it to. I don't know how it's possible, but it just doesn't. Even if you're the kind of girl who likes to apply several coats.

2. It really is waterproof.

I can't tell you how many times I've had raccoon eyes because a mascara didn't hold up. The last year has found me in a puddle of tears more times than I'd care to acknowledge, but one thing is true, my mascara didn't run. It didn't smudge. And my eyelashes kept their curl. How? Diorshow is ridiculously amazing.

3. It is BLACK.

Every mascara I've ever used has always been the darkest black the brand makes. I didn't think there was a difference until a consultant at Sephora dabbed a little of both Diorshow in Jet Black and Diorshow Black Out on her hand. It was obvious that the Black Out version was a blacker black. That's all I needed to see before I made my first purchase!

All in all, this mascara takes the cake. It makes my long lashes look positively perfect. I haven't dared stray from it since I began using it, with the exception of the time I ran out and had to revert back to LashBlast temporarily until I could get to Sephora for a new tube. It's safe to say that I've found what works for me, but if you have any suggestions to a mascara you feel is superior, feel free to give me a recommendation, or send me a sample.
