Simple Pleasures

It is seriously difficult to think about anything other than making it through the day when you're not feeling well. Today, is one of those days. I thought I had kicked the cold around Christmas, but it came back with a vengeance. So today, I'm thankful for all of the things that have made it possible for me to make it through the work day.

I love NyQuil, but if I don't get enough sleep, I might as well be a warm-blooded zombie. So, thank goodness for vitamin B-12 and also for DayQuil. It's the only way I'd be clear-headed throughout the day and also the only way to avoid napping under my desk.

I don't know what I would do without El Patio's chicken soup. It has gotten me through more colds and flus than I can remember. It's my go-to soup when I feel all icky and nothing really beats it. It's a comfort food that better be around for a looooooong time.

Not too long ago, I refused to even consider drinking tea. I'd take a taste every once in a great while, but overall, I wasn't impressed with the beverage. To this day, I still won't drink regular iced tea (I think it's disgusting), but I've come to appreciate the hot variety, especially when I'm feeling under the weather. Lately I've been sticking with Celestial Seasonings Chamomile Herbal Tea or Peet's Hibiscus C Blend.
