Once upon a time, when I was 5 or 6 years old, I was invited by my best friend and her mother to see the ballet. I was so excited to go, but then I became ill and my dreams of going to the ballet were dashed! Had I seen the ballet back then, it's entirely possible that I would have become a prima ballerina the very next day. Unfortunately it would take me until now to see the performance by the San Francisco Ballet, but I am still so grateful to have been able to attend (and free of charge no less!).
My seester and I had a blast and I loved Act II when I heard more familiar songs and saw more dancing. Since cameras weren't allowed to be used during the show, I couldn't take any photos, but I did manage to find this one here...

I also couldn't resist taking a ridiculous amount of photos of the chandelier in various Hipstamatic films and lenses.
After the show, my seester and I posed by some of the decorations in the hall....

Since I was in such a rush to get ready (I only had a 20 minute advance warning), I wore the same dress I wore to my cousin's wedding earlier this year, but I added stockings and wore booties instead of peep-toe high heels. I also wore the same coat, which is how I found my "missing" camera!
After experiencing the Nutcracker in all of its glory, I can finally cross that item off of my bucket list! Now I can move onto other items on the list...like diving with sharks!
