Breaking Bad

Breaking Bad. Have you seen it? If not, you should. Seriously. Someone told me about it one day and I stuck it in my Netflix queue and eventually got around to watching it. Once I started watching it, I was hooked. I was a little disturbed when the premiere episode began with a middle-aged man driving an old RV in his tighty-whities, but that intro essentially made me watch the first episode. Because why on earth was this man in his underwear?! How did he get to that place? Why did he have a gas mask?! So many questions and many answers to follow. I pretty much watched seasons one and two back-to-back. After a while, I needed a break from the meth happenings of the main characters, Mr. White and Jesse Pinkman, but I picked it back up again after a short break. Now I'm done with the third season and I'm dying to watch Season 4.

So, what's stopping me? Well, I would prefer to watch it on onDemand, but I don't have cable and would have to resort to watching it elsewhere. Namely, my parents' house, if in fact it's available. Otherwise I'm going to be renting it through Regardless, I need to watch it. Hulu doesn't have it, so I'll be paying for it unless it suddenly becomes available on Netflix or Hulu. When I was looking it up, however, I stumbled across an interesting promotion. Win a walk-on roll on Season 5 of Breaking Bad.

EXCUSE ME???? For realz???

Ah-mazing Show

I signed up for it instantly. I didn't even hesitate to hand over my cell phone number, address, and date of birth. Send me as many promotional emails as you want AMC, but PLEASE pick me for the walk-on role! I have acting experience, friends in ABQ that I would LOVE to see, but most importantly, I would OWN that walk-on role.

It's likely a long shot, but I'm holding out hope. If they by chance happen to run my name through IMDb, they'll be met with a smiling picture of my face and several acting credits. That should be enough to seal the deal, right? Well, even if it's not, I can hope and pray for a miracle that gets me a walk-on role, another IMDb credit, and hopefully a foot in the right door. I'll charm the socks off of their casting director and maybe he'll write me in a role for part of the season. Wishful thinking? Sure. But a girl can always dream.
