Things I'm Looking Forward To...

My weekend was mild. I spent a few hours in Half Moon Bay on Saturday, but I wasn't really feeling up to being there so I left before even more people flooded the beach. The rest of the weekend was spent trying to stay cool and then attending a 4th of July barbecue. Unfortunately, fireworks and sparklers were not a part of my Independence Day...*sigh*...there's always next year!

Anyway, despite my lackluster 4th, I am still looking forward to a number of upcoming events...

Not such a big deal to some, but I am finally getting my hair cut tomorrow after nearly 6 months. I am also getting it colored, but that's more of a regular occurrence to keep my headshot look consistent. I'm dreading getting it cut. I know I'll have to take off about 2 inches. I've been growing my hair now for a few years and it seems like it's taken an eternity! Of course I saw an old photo of one of my favorite hair styles and I wish I had it that way. Wouldn't you know it's a shorter hairstyle! I've been suffering through the grow out process and it's finally to the point where I feel like it's long again...once it's trimmed, I know it's  going to feel short again! Blah. I guess it'll grow!

I bought my new curling iron last Thursday and I finally pulled it out of the box. Confession...I actually used it today, but my hair didn't turn out exactly how I wanted it to. It didn't turn out bad, but it could have turned out better. I was a little rushed yesterday morning, so I'll be trying it out again this weekend. I know what I need to do to prep my hair a little better, so I'll be on my way to sexy, wavy hair in no time! Thankfully, I'm really good with a curling iron so it's not only easy to do my hair, but fast, too!

There really isn't any reason why I'm looking forward to Friday other than it's the end of a short work week and the beginning of the weekend. I'm thinking about starting my weekend by the pool. Now that I have my pool key again, there's no reason why I shouldn't walk over with my beach towel and dusty book for some R&R. It certainly wouldn't hurt to get a little bit of color either. This time last year I was bronzed beyond belief. Not so much at the moment...

A wise man once told me, "Be good to your feet and they will be good to you." I believe it! So, before I jet-set off to another land, I'll be getting my feet massaged and my toes painted. Getting a pedicure is relaxing and everyone deserves a little pampering from time to time. Besides, having pretty feet makes me feel pretty and since it's summer time and sandals season, I've been showing off my amateur painted tooties for too long!

I have plenty of things to look forward to at the moment...my only problem now is waiting. I am incredibly impatient!
