Are you using Spotify?

I first learned about Spotify from my Swedish friend back in August 2009. He was so excited about it and wanted to send me an invite so we could share music and talk about it all day long, but unfortunately it wasn't available here in the states. Now, nearly two years later, I am finally able to experience Spotify and all of its glory. I have been greatly anticipating the U.S. arrival and it's finally here!

I love Pandora as much as the next person, but this is more than a little different. You can create playlists, share playlists, make collaborative playlists with your friends (make the ultimate mix tapes!), sync your iTunes playlists, connect with Facebook (like most things these days), and if you're willing to pay $9.99/month you can listen on your cell phone and also listen to your playlists in offline mode. I'm not forking out ten bucks a month, but I still think it's exciting...I like that I can choose to listen to a specific artist and not have to wait to see if maybe the song I want to hear comes up on the list because I can PICK the song I want to listen to! Or I can listen to an Incubus' new its entirety. Awesome, right?! The biography portion and dates are actually a really nice touch, too. Kudos!

It's about time Spotify cut through all of the proverbial red tape to expand and plant roots here in the good ol' U.S. of A. Listen and enjoy!
