In case you are unaware, TGITTT translates to Thank Goodness It's Two Times Tuesdays! I forgot my computer yesterday, so I wasn't able to post anything. Well, that's not entirely true, I could have posted from my phone, but recent airport experiences have taught me that it's tedious and a bit of a pain in the ass. Plus, I can't post pictures, and what's a blog without pictures?!?

So here's the recap of my eventful Sunday...
Downtown Berkeley BART Station
Rising up from the underground station
I made a trip up to Berkeley for an audition at UC Berkeley. If you haven't seen the campus, it's actually really beautiful. At least the area I was in was gorgeous. So many trees, a stream running through campus, and people walking their dogs, what more could you ask for? Anyway, I read for a few different roles on a couple of scripts. I didn't feel very prepared, though, or maybe I was still a little rattled because I couldn't figure out how to get into the LOCKED building. I managed to find my way through some type of boiler room I probably wasn't supposed to be in. It was a little creepy, but I walked fast and eventually made it to my destination after asking a professor-looking fellow where the room was. I wasn't exactly feeling confident after the audition because I may have failed to make strong choices, but we'll see. It's all a learning experience, so I got in a little more practice!

Instead of worrying about how I did, I walked over to Starbucks and rewarded myself with a Grande Blended Strawberry Lemonade and a Red Velvet Whoopie Pie because at least I went to the audition! Since I'm a gold card member, I occasionally get free drink coupons in the mail, so this time the strawberry lemonade was free! The barista tried to upgrade me to a venti because, once again, it's free, but I didn't budge (gotta cut back somewhere!) and I only had to fork over the $1.50 for the lil whoopie pie. Unfortunately, it didn't quite satiate the craving I've been having for a red velvet cupcake, so I didn't finish it. It was only so-so, but that's not to say that someone else out there doesn't love them!

Afterward, I hit up Half Price Books near the BART station to see if they had a book for one of my classes. They didn't, but I also didn't leave empty handed. I bought a great book that I'll be posting about once I've finished it. It shouldn't be too long since I read nearly half of it on BART during the trip home. Sorry to keep it a secret, but it's really a post unto itself.

Once I made it back into town, I raced over to make my rent payment. I'm such a space cadet and forgot to pay it on Friday. Thankfully I have a 5-day grace period! After that, I headed over to DSW with my mom. The place was PACKED. There's a new Nordstrom Rack nearby and it has completely flooded the parking lot with patrons. I was slightly irritated by the mass of people, but I guess it's good for business, just not my patience. We left pretty quickly and I left empty-handed, but that's just a few more bucks I managed to save this month!

I went home to relax for a few hours before dinner. I absolutely could not wait to see Amanda and Hayley! Lucky for me they were coming to my town, so I didn't have to drive too far! We had Mexican again, which is always fine with me, and we went to the same place Hayley and I went last week. It's been SO long since I've seen Amanda, and it was great to catch up! I am completely grateful for the time I was able to have with her and hopefully I'll have a chance to see her at least once more before she leaves for NYC again.

Well, that's the gist of it. Sunday was a jam packed day, but I didn't feel stressed by all the activities at all! A great day filled with food, family, and friends!

p.s. stay tuned...there will still be one more post before the end of the day!
