Mix & Match

These days it's perfectly acceptable to mix florals and stripes. With Spring sometimes upon us (Winter, you need to relinquish control!), I can't wait until it's always warm enough for me to wear patterned skirts with a bold colored top...or vice versa!

Here are some items I spotted on Gilt this morning that I thought were fun and flirty and perfect to wear on a sunny day.

Not all of them are advertising the clothes, there are a few that are just highlighting the accessories. Still, it's inspiration to see what I can go mix and match in my own closet!

Silk Garden Print Strapless Jumpsuit by Reem Acra
I was drawn to this immediately! With the $1,599 price tag, it's out of my range, but it's an improvement over the original price of $4,660

Close Up Detail of Reem Acra Jumpsuit. Adorable!

Tie Dye Scarf by Yarnz
Love the polka dot and stripe combination. The scarf is a nice little touch, too.

Leopard Coat by Gryphon
This is one of my favorite combos!

Neo Zebra Scarf by Yarnz
If the skirt were a little longer, I could wear this little ensemble to work!

Biker Clutch w/Strap by Rebecca Minkoff
Asymmetric Pleated Ruffle Silk Skirt by Twelfth St. by Cynthia
Personally, I was more intrigued by the floral skirt and blue polka dot shirt. It's soft and flirty and perfect for Spring!

Oversized Python Belt by Pucci
This t-shirt/skirt combo really come together with the belt. Casual and effortlessly cute!

Printed Drape Dress by Ali Ro

Here are a couple more inspirational ideas from Emily over at Cupcakes and Cashmere. She certainly is a fashionista! If I ever make the move to LA (like I've been meaning to for years), I hope I cross paths with her! She is a fellow Bay Area native!

Zara Blouse and Skirt, Coach Bag, Dannijo Bracelet, Gifted Elizabeth and James Booties
Emily makes this look good! The color combination isn't something I would have immediately thought of, but I'm liking it! She pulls it off well.

Zara Blazer, Madewell Dress, Vintage Belt, Mulberry Bag, Steve Madden Heels
Emily easily pairs a bold blazer with a more subdued floral dress. This girl knows how to dress!
Are you inspired to try this new fashion trend? I'm going to be combing through my threads to see what stylish combinations I can come up with to spring into Spring. Happy mix and matching!
