Hello Spring!

I know Spring has officially been here for the past week and a half, but it surely hasn't been feeling like Spring. However, yesterday and today, Spring was able to obtain control over the weather, even if it had to rip it from Winter's deathlike grip! Since these were the first few days that I could actually wear sandals and not freeze, I've been trotting around in the black Coach wedges I purchased last year at a ridiculously low price. I found the same wedges in a different color at DSW recently, but they weren't nearly as cute in the champagne color and they were more than I paid. I've been dying to wear mine, but wet weather and these babies just don't go together.

I like brand names as much as the next person, but I don't always like to advertise for them, which is why I especially like these shoes. Though there is "Coach" writing on the straps, it's understated and doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. So, I get the quality I'm looking for without my feet screaming, "Look at me! I'm wearing Coach!" These shoes aren't available at Macy's anymore, but you can find them on eBay ranging anywhere from $84.99 to $114.99.

Yesterday I wore a thrift store find spaghetti strap, dress-like top that is clearly from the early nineties (though my mom asked me if it was new!). With my black American Rag jeggings and my Coach shoes, it received the update it needed and didn't look dated at all. Actually doing my hair yesterday helped a little, too!

Today, I paired them with an artsy dress I purchased at TJ Maxx which I accidentally shrunk (oops! dry clean only!) and a pair of American Rag cropped pant leggings. They used to be full length, but the legs shrunk up a good 5-6 inches after the first wash. I actually like them better this way! I'm wearing a black tank with lace detailing because it would be too revealing for work. I also added a belt to give the dress a better shape and added an impulse buy key necklace from Cost Plus World Market.
Pardon the quality and office location...hazards of blogging at work (I'm on my lunch btw)
As long as this weather holds up, I'll be wearing sandals to work more often! Hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful weather!
